The Zambezi Society is delighted to announce a new addition to our fleet of anti-poaching vehicles stationed in the Zambezi Valley.

This low-mileage Toyota Land Cruiser was purchased early 2019 with a loan from the Zambezi Elephant Fund which raised funds at the very successful “Save the Elephants” Run in Central Park, New York, City, last November. The vehicle is pictured here with Zambezi Society Driver, Simba Kandiero (right) and two ZimParks rangers, in Mana Pools National Park.

The vehicle is based in Mana Pools to assist with the deployment of anti-poaching patrols in the Zambezi Valley and to assist with rapid ranger reactions to poaching contacts.

A second Zamsoc vehicle is stationed at Marongora Parks station for deployments into the RIFA/Marongora/Charara areas of the valley further afield. We are extremely grateful to Taita Trading, who have most generously sponsored new tyres for this latter vehicle.
