FUNDRAISING FOR THE ZAMBEZI IN GERMANY
In April 2018, the Zambezi Society's Strategic Director, Richard Maasdorp (pictured second from left) travelled to Germany to attend a fund-raising presentation featuring photographs of the Zambezi's wildlife and wildernesses by Benno Werner (second right).
Together with his partner, Ingebord Bohnert (right), Benno has spent many years photographing the wildlife wonders of Mana Pools and other parts of the Zambezi. He is passionate about conserving the area, and has been invited to make further presentations at photographic and conservation events in German later this year.
Also in attendance was Thomas Topfer (above left) who runs a German NGO, "Rettet die Elefanten Afrikas" (Save Africa's Elephants), which also supports the efforts of conservation organisations working in the Zambezi Valley, and has offered to assist The Zambezi Society and the Zambezi Elephant Fund with fund-raising.
We are delighted to have such support from Germany! Thank you Benno, Ingeborg and Thomas.
